For those of you, who wish to attend the Congress:
We kindly ask you to purchase a full ticket for the World Congress.
As thank you for your hours of volunteering you will get additional food and beverage vouchers, a World Congress T-Shirt and there is a big raffle with amazing prizes to win. Shift assignments vary from 3 to 8 hours.
Please enter in the comment section of the registration, if you have some friends you want to volunteer with or have other wishes.
For those of you who are mainly coming to support us with volunteering:
We are very grateful for your support! Depending on your shift assignments (>6 hours), you will be granted access to the full congress program on the day you work. Furthermore, you will get food and beverage vouchers and a World Congress T-Shirt.
How can I register to be a volunteer?
Please register on our volunteers platform swissvolunteers.ch
There you can create your user account and register for the world congress. If you want some help with the website, please read these instructions and FAQs for volunteers: Platform guide for volunteers with videos
Can we also volunteer at the Gala Night?
Yes of course, we need helping hands every day and night of the congress. There are shifts behind the Bar to serve drinks. Please note that volunteers without a ticket won't get a seat at a table at the Gala.
Can we volunteer as a group/ LOM at the World Congress?
Yes, we are very happy to have a group of volunteers who will work together and have a team experience at the world congress! Please write in the comment section of the registration form, with whom you want to work with, and we will try to arrange it!
What kind of work will I have to do while volunteering?
We have different departments to choose from. Please enter at least 2 preferences of departments to help and in what time slots you are available to help, and we will send you all the volunteer information at least 1 month before the world congress.
If you can help even before or after the congress (preparing, build up and deconstruct etc.) you will get the shift assignment as soon as possible so you can reserve these time slots for helping.
Will there be breaks?
Of course, you will be able to take breaks during volunteering so you can eat, drink, stretch your legs, get some fresh air etc. your shift leader will instruct you at the beginning of your shift.
How and when will the shift assignments happen?
We are trying to assign shifts as soon as possible. After our assignment, you will get a message from the Swiss Volunteers platform and will have to confirm your shift.
Detailed information about your shift will be sent to you before the world congress with meeting point, dress code, shift manager contact, etc.
Are there cheaper sleeping possibilities for volunteers?
As for now, unfortunately, we cannot offer any cheaper sleeping possibilities to volunteers. We are still trying to find affordable sleeping facilities. You will find more information here: Accommodation & Visa/
